Dear Hrvatska Zora Members,

Welcome - to all our new Maleni, Pripremni, Kvalitetni & Orkestra members. I have noticed quite a few new faces at the “Proba” recently. It is wonderful to see so many new members. Could all old members make them feel welcome and help them to settle in quickly.

Annual General Meeting – is on Monday the 19^th of March. Please be there.

Labour Day Public Holiday – No “Proba” on Monday the 12^th of March

Proba Times: For Maleni & Pripremni starting time is 6:30pm, For Kvalitetni the starting time is 8pm, and Orkestra starts at 7pm. Please arrive a few minutes earlier so we can start on time.

Australia Day Parade: Hrvatska Zora dancers and their parents took part in the Australia Day parade on Friday the 26^th of January 2007. It turned out to be a beautiful day for a parade along Swanston Street and over the Yarra to the Park. There were many people in the crowd who clapped and cheered as the Croatian group walked past and that was wonderful to see. Representatives from the Mladi Hrvati were also walking with us while Jozo proudly carried the Croatian flag.

Croatian Folklore Festival: Hrvatska Zora Maleni and Pripremni performed wonderfully in the 3^rd Annual Croatian Folklore Festival on Sunday the 28^th of January 2007, alongside other Croatian Folklore dancing groups. The organizers have rewarded HZ with a cheque for $350.

Hrvatska Zora Picnic – coming up: The first HZ picnic this year was very successful with clear profit of about $3000. Due to its success and popularity another picnic is planned soon at the same place. Keep tuned to find out the exact date. I will put it on our web page as soon as I have a booked date.

Hrvatska Zora Calendar 2007: If you have not already bought the Hrvatska Zora 2007 Calendar then I would strongly urge you to buy yours soon. It has been for sale after Sunday Mass in front of the HKC Sunshine church & also at the last HZ Picnic. It is selling for $10. A reminder that the calendar is a fundraiser for Hrvatska Zora.

Hrvatska Zora Web Page: Newsletters are now available on the Hrvatska Zora Web Page, as well as a lot of other information on Hrvatska Zora & their activities. Go to www.hrvatskazora.org.au and from there you can access all sorts of important information. If you are absent due to illness and missed a proba, don’t worry, you can find the latest newsletters on the HZ web page. You can also email the Hrvatska Zora Committee at any time with questions, suggestions or good ideas.

Hrvatska Zora T-shirts, & DVD for sale: Hrvatska Zora t-shirts and 2004 Croatia Tour DVD’s are available for sale. Pass the word to anyone who is interested. See Berislav or Natalie if you would like to buy any of the items.

Hrvatska Zora Grant: The Victorian Multicultural Commission has given H Z a $1000 grant to assist in organizing our next Function which will be during the last Sunday of April. This is the first such grant that we have received from the Australian Government. All financial assistance is greatly appreciated and a thank you to Gloria for applying for the grant.
